i installed whistler now...now uninstalling...want to get rid of dual boot option screen upon boot up...how to do this?

thanks

i think you can edit your boot.ini file and remove the OSs that you dont want in there. not sure if this is the way to do in in whistler, but it works for other windows versions. be sure to make a backup copy of boot.ini in case anything goes wrong.

make a boot disk, then boot from it and type "sys c:" that will take the boot manager away, then you can remove the boot manager files from the root.

as pulpp said, create a boot disk in win9x/me. Boot with the bootdisk, get to a dos prompt, then type:

sys C:

this will overwrite the boot record (which holds the part that has the dual boot option screen) with the standard 9x/me loader. Therefore, no more dual boot option 🙂
