Help deleting a folder

I'm getting access denied whenever I try and move/copy/delete this folder off of an old Windows XP Pro harddrive. Basically, my sister got a new machine so I used an IDE to USB interface to copy over her old data. Her 'My Documents' copied over fine, but she had some items on her desktop as well. When I went into e:\docs and users/hername/desktop to get them I kept getting an 'Access Denied' error. Basically, it wouldn't let me copy the data off the drive.

Any ideas on how to get the data, she did have her XP Pro account passworded, so I'm thinking that it's encrypted somehow, or that's why I don't have the rights to move it.

Thanks.

1. Right-click the file that you want to take ownership of, and then click Properties.
2. Click the Security tab, and then click OK on the Security message (if one appears).

The thing that doesn't work is whenever I right click a file (both computers I'm working on are XP HOME) I don't get the Security Tab. And I am logged on as admin.

If you are running Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, you must start the computer in safe mode, and then log on with an account that has Administrative rights to have access to the Security tab.
