Help decipher a laptop flexi-cable name?

My laptop has a damaged touchpad flexi-cable.

"JI-HAW AWM E118077 2896 80C 30V VW-1" is what is said on the cable, but it's impossible to find an affordable cable with the exact same specs. I have a feeling that I don't need to find the exact cable.

"80C" is probably the max operating temperature?

"30V" is probably the max operating voltage?

"JI-HAW" is the brand name?

I'm not sure about "AWM E118077 2896" or "VW-1"

This Item seems like it matches, but the title says "AWM 2896 80C" while the photo says "AWM 20798 80C 60V VW-1"

Are there multiple names and identifications for the same flexi-cables?

It would help to know what make / model of laptop. The one you linked to has 12 pins, you only need 8 pins. Try looking at this one on Ebay ... It is 8 pins and looks like it should fit

Okay, I miscounted. Now if Fuzzy would post the Make and Model of Laptop, maybe we can find the correct cable. And if an 8 pin one is needed, if the one I posted is the correct shape, an X-Acto knife can easily trim off the 2 extra pins.
