r9 290 vapour x £251

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-344-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1752

or r9 290x tri x non oc £255 from ebuyer

http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1227&pid=2150&psn=&lid=1&leg=0

i know the vapour x has better components and is clocked to perform on par with the 290x but which will oc better? the r9 290x oc is £20 more at £275 also a consideration....
Which would you go for
please help!

R290X seems to scale better in recent games with its higher shader count compared older titles where its quite close, especially versus ghz R290 models.

get the R9 290X tri-x and overclock it manually. almost every card will do 1100 Mhz without voltage tweaking. You could try slight voltage tweaking and aim for 1150 Mhz. Beyond that on air the R9 290X is a tough chip to cool. the increase in heat, ambient temps and noise (due to higher fan speed needed to cool the chip) is just not worth it.
