Help deciding on an LCD TV

I think i'm set that it's going to be one of these models because from most reviews i've read they all seem fairly reliable, and are available locally. I'd rather go for the big names than taking a gamble on things like Westinghouse which can be hit, or miss. Sooo, any suggestions? Is the cost of the high end Bravia XBR2 worth it over these lower priced models?

I got the SONY KDL-40V2500 but was a really close decision between it and the sharp 42". I got the Sony for $1850, an unadvertised Black Friday price.

Ok, the XBR2 is the undisputed champion here. There is a similar Samsung model that has the exact same panel. Both the Samsung version and the XBR2 are almost indistinguishable, but I do believe the XBR2 looks slightly better. I spent like 1 hour just staring at both screens at BB before going with the XBR2.
