help deciding on a new screen.

Hi everyone, I'm trying to get a new 24 inch screen 1080p for around $200, here are the ones I'm debating on.

Samsung B2430H:

ASUS generally makes quality products but I am not familiar with their monitors. Just based on those 3 brands I would forget about the Viewsonic. Its not bad but the other 2 are better.
And based on the number of reviews I would probably go with the ASUS.
IF I wanted a 1080p display. But I think you should know right now that for anything besides watching movies a 1920x1200 display would have some much appreciated extra real estate. What made you think you just had to have a 1080p monitor?

My personal preference is HP, but at Newegg the only one you will find so cheap is recertified.

Having said that, I've never experienced problems with recertified stuff from Newegg.
If you dont wanna deal with that, maybe go ahead on your other choices.

It's only a bit over $200

It's hard to get a non 1080p monitor these days. It seems to be a predominant res.
I sure wish there were some 24" 2560x1600 monitors around
