help deciding on a new screen.

ASUS generally makes quality products but I am not familiar with their monitors. Just based on those 3 brands I would forget about the Viewsonic. Its not bad but the other 2 are better.
And based on the number of reviews I would probably go with the ASUS.
IF I wanted a 1080p display. But I think you should know right now that for anything besides watching movies a 1920x1200 display would have some much appreciated extra real estate. What made you think you just had to have a 1080p monitor?
