I was going to get the Panasonic ES8243A, but ended up with the Panasonic ES8103S three days ago because it was on sales.

IMHO, it is good shaver for the price just about as close as my razor.

Hmmm. $40 difference...for a razor...

I don't like the rotary shavers. I know they're supposedly better, but I feel like I get a better shave (especially around the jaw line) from a foil shaver.

Same here...sadly, I didn't know this until after I bought a Norelco rotary. I prefer the foil-based razors apparently.

That said, the Norelco still does a great job - I don't shave that often so perhaps that's a part of it.

I've got the Panasonic. I tried to like but in the end I use a regular razor daily. I use it occasionally for quick hit when I'm running late but it doesn't do the job anything like a regular razor.

I use the latest Gilette razor 1-2x a week but electric for the other days.

Wet shave with the electric razor just about as close a shave as Gilette razor, but electric take longer to shave than the Gilette.
