(not a gamer) photoshop Editing and Video CApture

on a very low budget

undecided between this two choices, almost same price!!!

1. Matrox G550 Video CArd (for its 2D Quality) $95
And PCI Leadtek WinFast 2000 Xp Tv and Video Capture Card $45
Here it is
Total $140

2. ATI AIW RADEON 9600 Video Card, 128MB DDR, 128-bit, CATV/Video Out/Video In, 8X AGP

Total $139

I know most of you think its an easy choice and go for the ATI card, but I am not looking that much into the 3D capabilities, just the quality of the movie making and capturing(by having the separate capture card or the AIW integrated one), comparison between 2D capabilities(really a big diference???)

What about ati's Dual Monitor Capabilities compared to Matrox when using a VGA and TV?

What do you think?

the matrox line is known for high 2d image quality. If ur going to be doing a lot of desktop work and video editing etc... definently buy a matrox. Thats what i would do at least

The 9600 pro (or any ati/nv cards) are meant for 3d gaming more than anything. And you wont be doing any of that

If you have a Fry's near by you might want to check out the ATI AIW 8500DV for $90.

Yeah, in know about matrox's 2D quality but remember i am not only considering that. I am also looking for CApture qualities when using the AIW or a cheapy tv capture card.
Couse i might end with a good 2D output but if the media I record ends up being crappy what will I bee winning??

I think an 8500 is way too old, at least when i can get a 9600
I wouldn't go for anything less than a 9200 at ATI
