Does anyone know if its worth the money difference to get the 3700? I plan on OCing with a DFI board and some lev2 mushkin memory and cant decide if to go for a 3200/3400 or go all out w/3700?

I would get the lower ones if you plan on ocing...I haven't heard the 3700+ getting really any much higher then the other 2......

Well the 3700 has 1 MB of cache though.

I'd get the mobile a64 3000+ DTR chip. Newegg has them for $135 and it had 1 MB of cache. Probably just as good a chance at o/c than the 3700

Will that mobile DTR 3000 chip you mention work in A DFI Lanparty NF3 250gb? I remember reading somewhere you have to make sure you have the right BIOS or something ...

Yes a DTR will work with the LanpartyUT. Can't remember if I needed to change the bios though, I am using the one released 10/2004 on mine right now with no problems. The DTR 3000+'s are champs. Mine does 2.9ghz (unstable so far), but is solid at 2.81ghz at 1.75v. I run it at 2.7ghz @ 1.65v on a daily basis. Good stuff.

There are 2 version of the 3400, one @ 2.2ghz with 1mb cache (I have this one), and the other @ 2.4ghz with 512kb cache. I don't know whether or not you should get the 3700 but the cache shouldn't play a major role in your decision making.

yes a DTR will work with a lanparty but the heatsink wont

the only one that will work without modification is the thermalright slk-948u

the stock bios will recognize it but its recommended that you flash to another one cuz the stock one has issues
