My main computer just up-and died! :Q During boot up it locked up, and when I reset, NOTHING. No video, no beeps, nothing. Power off-on a few times, still nothing. Reset CMOS with jumper- nothing. Removed everything one at a time including memory and all IDE devices, still nothing. When I power on, all I get are keyboard LED flashes and nothing else- no BIOS beeps, no video signal, nothing. Question- is it the Motherboard or the processor? FYI it is a KT7-RAID/Tbird 800 rig that has been runnibg very well for over 4 months. Also, the CPU temp never gets above 105 F, so heat shouldn't be an issue. Thanks for any help in advance.

Do the fans spin. Not quite sure what "nothing" means. If your fans and HDDs are spinning, you might be able to salvage by moving the CMOS jumper on the MB.

Hey, at least if it doesn't work, you won't have to take out a mortgage to purchase a new P3 or 4.

For clarification, the fans (CPU, Video card, case, and power supply fans) all function normally. The delta 38 CFM fan makes too much noise to be able to tell if the HDDs are spinning up. I tried the CMOS clear jumper to no avail. The ATX power switch will both turn the computer ON and OFF after depressing for 4 sec. No beeps at all from the CMOS. Power supply is a 300 Watt antec that is only 6 months old. I will verify the 5 Vdc is operational in just a minute. I am beginning to suspect the CPU.

Thanks for the inputs guys (non-gender specific!)
