HELP dead Duron or Mobo ?

I am working on this computer and it has been having all kinds of strange problems. It's an Abit KT7, Duron 650, PC133, VisionTek Geforce 256 and a Sound Blaster Live running Win98.

It was running ok not great, but it just started tearing up. After taking it home and working on it now it doesn't even post. It just says Award Bootlocker v1.0
and something about insert a disk. I guess that would be to flash it. So I lookup up the error and I have found pretty mixed results. I took out the CPU and the die definately looks abused, but would that cause the BootLocker error or is the bios corrupted. This is a brand new Abit Kt7 board and I had replaced the FIC AZ11 that came with it because it was causeing the hdd to make loud CLICK noises and I think it ruined it eventually. I do beleive the power supply is listed as approved by AMD. Any ideas or suggestions. When I put different SDRAM in to see if maybe the orginal SDRAM was faulty it booted and froze then gave me the Bootlocker error.. THEN oddly enough it tried to boot again and now it ONLY give the BootLocker error and no post. ??

HELP !

Have you tried another cpu? Have you got a picture of your Duron? It only takes one little corner to be broken off before they can be rendered useless.
