OK, I have an duron 600 and Asus A7V mb, which was running 1005a, usually ok, not o/c.. I decided to update my BIOS to 1008, flashed it using the Asus utility, and found that my comp would become very unstable and reset randomly.. not good, but it would still work, get into windows, etc.
So, I then re-flashed back to 1005a, while in Win98se, using the same utility, and it said the BIOS was flashed successfully, and instructed to reboot, as usual after updating the BIOS. But, when I rebooted this time monitor went blank, no beeps, no nothing.. How?? (leds, fans, cd, floppy come on, but no post)
Now is my mb dead, or is there something I can do? I've read about hotflashing, not sure about it though.. If I took this into a pc shop or the place where I bought it, is there something they could do, or would i just have to buy a whole new mb?
Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks.

any chance the warranty is still active? have you tried removing all components except cpu, ram, and vid card...perhaps it's something else and not the mobo

btw, flashing w/ a boot disk is highly recommended over winblows
