I opened up my older pc and took out the ram. When i put it back in, xp takes really long to load. THat litlte loading bar goes slow motion. I took a stick of 512 ocz ram because my new pc is not built yet. can anyone help as to why my ram is messed up? and is the 512 being an older 1.7ghz celeron gona damage it?

Did you place it in the same ram slot as before?

What did you do with the 512 stick?

What speed is it? PC2700?PC3200?PC2100?

What is the speed of the ORIGINAL Ram stick?

A little more specifity = amthx.
 
same ram slot, i think i shold try the other ram slot.

The 512 stick is in the pc and its working fine now. ( its ocz 512, pc3200, ddr 400)

the broken ram is 128 ddr pc2100
