It runs as a cd rom drive just fine but the floppy drivers do absolutely nothing. I have it set as primary device on secondary IDE cable and when I try to install the CD drivers it says that the drivers are not installed and the card is not located. I have W98SE and I also noticed the screen is washed out with the card so is there any way to just use the DVD rom only? When I tried a few times to use "add new hardware" Windows only wants to use its default cd drivers. Where can I get drivers that work?! The drivers at creative.com are the ones I already have. BTW I've tried both ways on the floppy drive to install. What would the IRQ say for a device that hasn't been installed? I want to check if BIOS even sees the card. I know the passthrough is working because thats what I'm using right now. Please help! Thanks!

You have a Decoder card + DVD drive KIT right?

The drive itself is already installed if the BIOS detects it and Windows detects it as a CD-ROM drive.

The drivers on the floppy are ONLY for the DXR3 decoder card not for the DVD drive.

When you boot up does Windows detect a PCI multimedia device or something similar to that? That's when you point it to the floppy.

Or, do you have an unknown/other device called "PCI multimedia" or something similar to that under your device manager? If so, bring up the properties for it and choose to update the driver, point it to the floppy and it should find them.

I DO have the decoder kit. I have tried to direct the driver install to my A: drive(floppy) but it says that no drivers can be found for the device and continues to use cd drivers. I'm kind of at a loss here. This is the first real install problem I've had.
