Hi,

I'm trying to OC an i7-860 Lynnfield on a Gigabyte P55A-UD4P mobo (most recent F14 BIOS) with 4x2GB DDR3-1333 RAM (specific model # G.Skill F3-10666CL8D-4GBHK)

I am following this OC guide
http://www.techreaction.net/2010/09/07/3-step-overclocking-guide-lynnfield/

I ran into trouble during his Step 1, subsection "Testing for highest stable blcock frequency." He asked for a few things at this point, including 2:6 memory multiplier, 150MHz BLCK, and 15x multiplier.

A few screens to show I followed his steps, I even put Gigabytes "performance enhance" on standard under "advanced memory settings." Previously it was on turbo, and I had the same problem that I am about to describe.

The problem is that CPU-Z does not register the changes I made once I go into windows.

The end core speed is as it should be, 2250MHz (150 BLCK * 15 multi = 2250 was entered in BIOS). However, the multi and bus speeds are wrong (21x multi and 107MHz BCLK). Also, since the guide specified a 2:6 memory ratio, the memory speed should be 450 MHz (3*150) according to his guide. But CPU-Z is showing 321 MHz, which is 3*107.

Something is funky because the end core speed is what I specified in my BIOS, but the BCLK, multiplier, and memory speed are all not what they should be.

Basically the changes I made in BIOS show in the BIOS and POST screens, but they aren't right in CPUZ.

Can anyone tell me what's going on?

I should note that as the BIOS screenshots show, I disabled EIST, C1E, and some other C states
