are the chips that support SSE, SSE2 pentium only?

Also, does anyone know if Extended 3dnow instructions are supported by the K63+ chips?
 
SSE and SSE2 are Intel only instruction sets.
The shared instructions are only MMX across platform sesigns.

I don't believe that the Extended 3dnow instructions are used in K6-3 chips.
 
Actually, I saw something about the next Athlon based chip will support SSE2...but dont quote me on that one 🙂
 
I think the next AMD chip will have the first SSE instruction set. Maybe the one after that will have SSE2 🙂
