Help! "Cpu is unworkable or has been changed."

Whenever I boot up, I get an error message that says: "Cpu is unworkable or has been changed. Please recheck - CPU SOFT MENU." What does this mean? Eerytime I change something in the bios I cannot restart be computer, I just get a black screen (no video signal.) But when I descahrge the cmos the compuer works fine but the error message shows up again. The cpu does not seem to be overheating too much. It stays around 22 C. I do not know if it is the mobo or the cpu itself. Please help.

Did you pencil the L1 bridges? If so that could be the cause if it didnt get penciled good enough.

Disable Speed Error Hold in the bios.
