Help converting a verbatim cdrw drive to a liteon

I heard that I can convert or oc my verbatim cdrw drive to liteon drive by doing a flash on it.
I don't know if my verbatim drive can do this.
Yes, it does have a 12 digital s/n and its model # is vbt321240A
My question is it possible for my drive to be converted to a liteon and if so, how do I do it?
I might oc it too if the convertion work.
Lastly, if the convertion does work, what do I need to do to oc.

Have a look at cdfreaks.com

Unless that is a rebadged Lite-On 3213W you won't be able to overclock. Most likely it is an "S" and you may as well stay put.

What are the benefits of converting it to a Lite-On?


EDIT: I got mine and flashed the June X Lite-on firmware. Works fine. I didn't try it out before flashing, but I can burn a 500+MB CD in under 3 minutes total.
