Help: Convert Imation 8x20 burner Firmware to Plextor Firmware

I have a imation 8x20 cd burner and want to convert the firmware to Plextor's firmware. I remember a while back there are discussion on this topic (CompUSA deal)but I can't seem to find any links about this topic. Please help if you know the site or where I can download the file to flash the Imation BIOS. Thanks.
 
AHA2930C SCSI card that comes with it, needs an internal 50 pin (SCSI II, as per booklet) ribbon to attach another device, such as Plextor 40max CDROM...where can I buy a ribbon with more than one connector, at a good price ?

What is model number of ribbon ?
