I built my computer recently and I've formatted it several times but I seem to have (somewhat) random freezes in windows. I tested out different memory and video card so they can't be the problem. I think it could be the hard drive, but it had no problems before. Is there any good way to check if its my hard drive? I ran all the check disk and defrag but I have had no results. I updated my bios and also put fail-save settings on it with no luck. I don't have another hard drive at my disposle at the moment, but if I'm sure its the hard drive's fault I could break out a 8gb WD dying drive to test on. Its not because of cpu overheating because I haven't had my cpu go over 35 degrees C, and I don't overclock.
