Help connecting to my home PC over internet via RealVNC

Hi,
I'm trying to connect from the outside world(particularly school computers running Fedora Core 2) to my WinXP PC that's running RealVNC server.
I'm wondering how I can set up SSH tunneling for more security? I've downloaded and installed cygwin on my WinXP PC, including the SSH modules, but I'm not sure how to set them up.

Also, I have a Netgear 614v4 wireless router, I assume I have to forward port 5900 to my WinXP PC even with SSH tunneling?

Thanks!

Actually, with so many versions of VNC floating around, which one is "better"?

That link you sent didn't explain how to perform SSH tunneling.

OK, I managed to get it working via port forwarding, but I'd still like to get SSH tunneling working for more security...

Thanks for those sites. They show how to connect to the machine, but don't I need to first set up SSH server on the machine that I wanna connect to? Those sites don't show me how to do that.
