Here's what my config.sys looks like on my boot disk.
DEVICE=A:\HIMEM.SYS /TESTMEM😱FF
BUFFERS=40,8
FILES=80
DOS=HIGH,UMB
LASTDRIVE=Z
STACKS=9,256
BREAK=ON
DEVICE=A:\OAKCDROM.SYS /d:cdrom
the problem here is that on the last line, where I have "/d:cdrom", leads to a problem of Winxp not being able to copy "CDROM.SYS"
this leads to an error in the install process. It can't go on when I reboot after copying files from the cd to the hard drive.
If I remove "/d:cdrom" then the cd rom drives won't recognize, and I can't get to the disk.
Any suggestions?
I haven't had this problem in my previous installs of WInXP, I don't know why it's giving me problems now.
