HELP - computer won't start!

hi,

I just built a new computer, and basically, it won't turn on. I push the power button and nothing happens. I know that i have all the connections right because i tried turning it on earlier just to test whether or not the fans were blowing in the right direction and it turned on fine. Of course that was before i put in all the cards and drives.
When it worked, I only had the motherboard, cpu, ram, and fans installed. I've tried double checking the connections. I don't think it's the power supply because when i plug in the power, my router recognizes that there is a computer at the other end of the network cable, and there is a light on my motherboard that turns on.
Any ideas as the why it suddenly won't turn on? I can't, for the life of me, figure it out! It's really frustrating me, and I hope that the case or motherboard didn't go bad somehow in that short time that it took me to install all the drives, cards, etc.

Make sure your Jumper to reset the BIOS is connected properly or go back to the beggining with just the RAM,CPU and Vid card and go from there.

Reseat everything you have: sound card, video card, ram etc...

If that doesn't work start with only the bare essentials and power on, if it post's add stuff one @ a time until either you find something that's bad or it loads all the way with everything on it

an IDE cable flipped (Pin1) would do this
