Ok, here I am, at work, building a PPRO 150 on a Soltek SL-60a motherboard (god this is crappy equipment) for a Linux cluster we're building. For whatever reason, the machine won't post; I've set the jumpers according to what the manal says, reseeded the chip (even replaced the original, a pp200, with a pp150), and checked the RAM. Still no luck.

Any suggestions as to why the machine doesn't even post?

We need more information.

1) does the system turn on at all? (fans, etc.)
2) do you get any error codes when you try to boot up?
3) have you checked all of the case headers and made sure they're not backwards, etc?

The system does turn on; the CPU heats up, the fans start up, and the HD spins (power is being supplied to the motherboard).

No error codes.

Have checked all case headers, etc, and couldn't find anything. Tried multiple chips, multiple HDs, multiple RAM chips, and multiple video cards. Booted with nothing but RAM.

Eventually decided it wasn't worth the time. If I figure it out in my spare time, I'll fix it...any ideas left?
