HELP::Computer running sluggish after installing Opteron 165

I just installed a opteron 165 and noticed my computer is sluggish when compared to my old opteron 146, any reason for this?

I applied the microsoft hotfix and installed the amd dual core driver.
 
i had this problem to , it turned out it was my ram , some bios settings were out of wack, download cpu-z and check your ram settings , see if they fluctuate , if they start changing on the spot, try tweaking some of your bios settings that handle the DQS n stuff , switched mine to auto
 
Um some progs do run occasionally sluggish with dual core (NFS underground, which has occasional parts)
Doing a fresh instal prolly would help, with my dually i did a fresh instal and instaled the amd drive, did not bother with the hotfix and its running great right now.

By the way u do have c and q off dont u?
 
Cool and quiet was the first thing i turned off. I may just do a full resinstall. I have it oc'ed 2.6ghz right now and thats why im worried about it running sluggish even oc'ed so well.
