help comptuer problem i'm stuck HELP

hello i built my new computer on air and i go to install it onmky hard drive which i had used from my old computer which gave me the same error before i took it out for this computer

i went formated isntalled my comp (twice on thsi ahrd drive) and it goes to load and says .. "error loading operating system" i take a 40 gig i had lying around and it says the same thing both ide

what's wrong any ideas??

So you did a fresh install of your OS?

Are you overclocking?

Have you ran memtest?

not overclocking... every part in this computer is new. except the HD i get into the install of the OS and it copies files it just whne restarting doesn't go into the rest of install

Try running this for a few hours.

found the problem something ni bios was wrong becuase i loaded optmiized defaults and then it worked... we're thingking lba/chs might have been defaulted to lba or something.

Good to hear you've got it fixed.

Don't worry, you're not the first person to get messed about by a DFI's bios.

haha thanks for the info. i g2 RMA my pump then swap out air for water and then i'll be fully set (i g2 update my comp now etc. etc.) haha thanks for your help too with suggestions again.
