HELP!! Company email is outgoing fine, but incoming is not showing up

I am using SCO OpenLinux 3.1.1 (I know... old) using Sophos MailMonitor 1.2.2. I was trying to configure Samba on the same server using the Webmin interface. That's when I notice that we haven't been receiving any emails. After trying to send ourselves email from outside systems, we determined that any outgoing mail we send will send fine, but any incoming mail will not be received by our computers.

Anyone have any suggestions on what to do?

is there any kind of firewall or access control list that woud prevent inbound connections on port 25?

Solved it.

It turns out that mail stopped coming when I created a Unix user with the username as my email account. It somehow confused the server to a point where it just dropped my mail from existence. Removing the Unix user restored my mail delivery.

So that makes my Samba installation scary, because I would like to use the same usernames as email addresses.
