Help Cloning HDD used Acronis

HI i all im new here but i really could use some help i recently got a new 1.5 tb caviar black and i used the WD acronis to clone my old 500 GB to this new one and i booted back into windows and nothing none of my programs work so what the heck ? can anyone please help me out thanks
 
No idea...That fact that it booted OK into windows usually means that the cloning operation worked OK...Do you have the old drive removed from the system when you start up with the new one?
 
I have found that if you have win 7 then just make an image of the old drive.
Remove the old hdd with the new one then boot off the recovery Acronis cd and restore the image to the new hdd.
You will now have unallocated space on the new hdd (it's larger than the old hdd) so go to disk management and extend the C drive volume to encompass all the unallocated space.
