Help cleaning fan(s)

I have a few fans that I just took out of storage to use. (room fans, not cpu fans)

Anyway, they're really dusty. What's the best way to go about cleaning them?

Some of the bigger ones I can unscrew and wipe them down that way. But since there are spokes and everything which is a PITA to wipe down by hand, I was thinking about hosing the screens down. I have a few fans that I can't take apart though. So if I hose those down, will I damage the motor in anyway? I also want to hose down the backscreens on the bigger fans that I can't unscrew. If I give the motor enough time to dry before turning it on, it should be fine right?

TIA

Yep. Just don't put the hose right into the motor housing. Store them in a warm place for a day or so. Should be just fine. My maintenance team does this every spring to the dusty and dirty floor fans throughout the plant. Most of these CAN be taken apart, but it's much quicker and easier to brush off loose dirt and then hose them off. Let dry, plug in and done!
