I just got this card 4 days ago & have yet to be able to play a game or stay stable in windows. Any feedback?
Specs of system:
FCPGA cB0 PIII 650e @ 904MHz
- Iwill Slotket II (all jumpers set "auto"
- 138/139FSB
- 1.8v
- 3.3v/3.4v I/O
- 52w pelt cooled @ 95°-98° w/Alpha PAL6035(?)
- PCI BUS: 1/4
- AGP BUS: 2/3
PC133 (generic 7ns)
Abit BE6-II v1.0 (SH BIOS)
Creative OEM 64mb GeForce2 GTS AGP (Det3 - 6.18)
Photon Torpedo (vid card for fixed freq monitor: cirrus logic 3DM-1960-85)
Netgear FA301TX 10/100 NIC
Monster Sound MX300

System was stable prior to GTS w/Banshee & Torpedo @ 904MHz!
What's happening:
I'll run HL & I can only get it to run D3D, no OpenGL (been a 3dfx guy, so dont know if nVidia does OGL), & it'll run for approximately 30secs & dump me back to the desktop. No errors.
MotorCross Madness 2 will play for approximately 2mins & then dump me back to the desktop with corrupted desktop (change res, come back to original res & it restores desktop).
Able to run the 3DMark2000 demo 3 out of 4 times. Benched with it twice: ~4400!
What I'd like to do:
I want to continue running dual monitors on this system, but want it running stably again. All other devices have proved themselves stable at 34.75MHz on PCI. I've never had an AGP card!
ANY & ALL HELP APPRECIATED! If someone is running a similar config, please assist! I need to know all the correct settings to get my sys stable again! I've done it all (that I know): safe mode & removed all other vid cards, etc, etc.
I feel like there is something I've missed! Please inform me & I hope that you can gather from this post that I'm not an idiot, so if there's something I've missed, please do inform!
