Just started playing WOW, started with an undead rogue. It was okay, but not great and I found out my group already has 2 rogues in it. I want to try something different. I want something somewhat easy to figure out, but not crazy easy or boring. I have played some games like this before, no massively multiplayer, but RPGs. I have usually used rogues and monks, with the occasional fighter. I have never really tried a caster since I am not sure if I know when to use what spells. I wouldn't mind learning but I don't want to make a fool out of myself in front of my friends, or worse yet make them mad because I don't know what I am doing. Any help would be great

Try a druid imo, they can pretty much do anything. My druid alt is 38 now, tons of fun.

Every little kidiot who plays WoW plays a rogue or huntard, it gets annoying and they can never find groups. Don't be one.

"huntard" lol that's awesome

OP: I'd play a warrior or a priest. They're always needed. If you could see the level 70 zones I roll around in, you can't go 5 minutes without someone spamming general chat looking for a warrior or priest.

If you play a rogue or a hunter it will generally be much more difficult to find people to group with.

druids can be fun but they can be a pain too. when i played mine last, they didn't do well in the damage dept so you could take on mobs higher than you and live, but it took forever. they were also only wanted as healers then too, which is no fun being a heal bot.

Sure now you tell me, i already created and ran an orc hunter to level 6. My guild doesn't have a hunter in it, so hopefully I will be okay. I am enjoying him with his bow

the way groups usually work, if you want to always be able to join a pick up group, is healer + tank + others. the warrior and priest spot are almost always used, and druid can sometimes fill either. everything else just gets tossed in, most of the time.

a hunter will probably have the easiest time soloing, but there are tons of hunters.
