Hey all,

I'm in the market for some new PC3200 DDR RAM, but am having trouble deciding on what to buy.
I'm going to be getting 1024MB, and I've narrowed it down to 2 sticks of Samsung 3200 512MB CAS3, or a matched pair of Corsair Value Select 3200 512MB CAS2.5.

My main computer use is video editing and audio production. I rarely play games.

What I'm wondering if the Corsair would be worth the extra $25, over Samsung.
If I decide to overclock a little, I've heard that the Corsair Value is better for this.
But I'm not sure if there would be any difference between the two at all.

Any recommendation?

Thanks!

btw...I'm using an Asus P4P800SE board, and P4 1.8A (being upgraded to a P43.2C soon).

do either have a warrenty? if anything should go wrong i think you would have a easier time dealing the corsair over samsung because memory is only a small part of there market where corsairs main focus is memory. not to mention the lower timings.

Personally, I can go with the Samsung since most rams are rebadged Samsung anyways. I have better use for the extra $25.00. Oh BTW, this is the rams I use right now.

If it's only an extra $25 to go with CL 2.5, I'd get the Corsair. It's the best-rated cheap memory you'll find.

If you had an Athlon you could argue that CL 3 wouldn't slow you down much, but on an Intel machine it's probably worth $25.
