I just purchased a GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R. I am looking to get 4GB of DDR2 800

I would like to stay under $200 for 4GB of RAM.

Anyone running this board have any suggestions on what RAM to run? There are so many options and I am having a hard time choosing?

TIA

Best compatibility and very good overclock. My slowest stick is good up to 580MH with 2.1Vdimm and 5-5-518-2T timing. Always stick with high quality 1.8V JEDEC DDR2 800 RAMs if you want to consistently boot at default BIOS settings. I avoid all OCZ stuffs or any memory rated between 2.0-2.1V. Crucial B is very good, but they may not POST with some boards.

I believe those are non-JEDEC RAMs. You may have to tinker with board to boot. To maximize your chance of running and overclocking with 4GB, stick with those JEDEC N5 Kingston. The price is within you budget, so I don't know what's the issue. Newegg is not the cheaper retailer. Check out MWAVE.

There is no issue... Just seems like the corsair was a sweet deal so I asked..

I have no plans to overclock the memory or CPU... Just need a stable running machine.
Would this change your memory selection?

Thanks for the input..

I've seen boot problem with those Corsair modules even at stock speed (1GB x 4). You could gamble on the lower price and win.

If you don't plan to overclock, then go with the HP/Crucial 1.8V JEDEC DDR2 667 RAMs. Only $15 AR per GB and free shipping. These will boot with four sticks. They are rated at 333MHz (support 1333MHz Intel chips at stock setting). You can also overclock the RAMs to 400MHz with 2.0V and 5-5-5-15-2T timing. This is the sweetest deal in town.
