1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.

Gaming mostly.

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread

$1000-$1200

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.

USA

4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc.

Intel processor. Don't care about the rest.

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.

Monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, other peripherals.

6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.

Yes.

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.

Overclocking.

8. What resolution YOU plan on gaming with.

1650x1080 at the moment, maybe 1900x1200 in a few months.

9. WHEN do you plan to build it?

Within 1-2 months.

Price: $645

These are the things that I know I want, but I'm not sure how to go about picking out a case, power supply, cooling system, and motherboard that will be compatible with these items and with each other. My upper price range is $1200, but the sweet spot is about $1000. If anyone has suggestions about picking up items very similar to the above items for less money or that have better performance for slightly more money, I am open to those as well.

OP has been updated. Follow up questions:

Am I missing any critical parts?

Will the stock cooling be ok for this setup?

Will I need to add more cooling if I put in an additional graphics card in the future?

If I wanted to spend another $100 or so, what would be the best place to put it?

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!
