Now, most of you may know that I have a 42" Panasonic Viera HDTV, Plasma, does 720p/1080i and looks fab.
My parents have offered me half towards a new TV (they want my old one, not fussy, great set, perfect condition, ideal for them) and Im looking to spend up to £900 GBP Sterling to aquire myself a 47" Full HDTV to replace it.
I have always preferred Plasma for its picture quality and after almost 2 years, my Panasonic suffers from no visible burn in or screen damage besides the irritating bits of dust that are attracted to it like moths to a flame.
I am unsure of LCD, at that size Im concerned that ghosting might be visible during FPSes however on a 17" and 19" WS Monitor, that was never visible to me.
I am aiming for 47" because that is the maximum size that will fit my room and not kill me... and the fact that it is a healthy upgrade from the 42" TV I am leaving behind.
I do not wish to go back to a PC monitor and I am not considering anything below 42".
