I was wanting to replace my current 19" Monitor, and if anyone has suggestions as to what is really"hot" out there, I would appreciate any suggestions !!!

Budget will be anywhere from say 400.00 to 600.00 delivered....

I think I would really like an"aperture grill" model, since detail is very important...I would like a SONY, but not sure which Model #'s are the top units ?

I looked up this Viewsonic, and it seemed nice :

VIEWSONIC P95F 19" (18" viewable) 1940 x 1440 0.25mm PerfectFlate MONITOR
0.25 aperture grille at center 0.27 aperture grille at corner. 1,920 x 1,440 maximum resolution. PerfectFlat screen. 300MHz video input bandwidth. E-Color's True Internet Color & Colorific. ARAG screen treatment. OnView controls including ViewMatch. TCO'99 and Energy 2000 certified.

399.00 plus Shipping at NewEgg, but Out of Stock !

Suggestions Guys...???

If you want to spend $400-600

Sony Trinitron GPD520 or something like that for $520 @ Dell I believe.

Just got a LG Electronics 915FT. It uses a flatron tube, which is comparable to the Trinitron in quality, but doesn't have the annoying lines. It only does 60Hz at 1920x1440 (could be a limit of my TNT2 Ultra since it will do 1920x1200 at 70Hz) unlike the Viewsonic. I considered the Viewsonic, but I can't stand the lines, plus it was about $80.00 more than my 915FT. If you really have some money, look for the Iiyama Diamond Master Pro 454 or 451? (HM903DT and A902MT).

for a 19 in moniter id take the SAMSUNG 955DF it has a .20mm dot pitch and looks great also like the Hitachi Model CM715 also looks great and both of these moniters can be found for under 200$ both flat screne trinitron like. even saw the samsung at best buy for less then on newegg
