Replaced the power supply for a PowerSpec 8736. It is a Intel Socket 775 2.93ghz P4 with DDR memory and a AGP slot.

Inexpensive el cheapo box. The guy had me build him a soup to nuts box and just gave me it to me.

I want to put a video card in it but do not want to buy a card that is way faster than the system itself.

Could you guys give me a recommendation for a AGP video card that is not overkill for that system. I am thinking for the money this might not be a bad way to go. About 85.00 dollars. 75.00 after the rebate.

If that one is way more card than the box can handle maybe something like this. It is 50.00 dollars.

Kinda of like the HDMI as it would make it easy to turn it into a HTPC system.

Just want the fastest card the system will handle without being bottle necked and spending too much money on an outdated computer.

I would go with the 50 dollar one. AGP is outdated and overpriced anyways. Really just depends how much life is expected out of this system.

That would be the 4650 you linked. I had a pent 4 @ 3.2 and a 7800gs. The pent 4 can do better then the 3450, but the 4650 will max your systems potential and give you the HDMI connection.
