Help choosing a receiver for my speakers or an all in one package recommendation?

Hey guys,

I plan on buying a pair of JBL E50BE 3-way 8-inch Bookshelf Speakers and tossing in a JBL 12 inch 250 watt sub.

The stats on the speakers are:

Maximum recommended amplifier power: 175 watts
Power handling (continuous/peak): 90 watts ? 360 watts
Impedance: 8 ohms nominal
Sensitivity (2.83V/1m): 90dB
Frequency response (?3dB): 45Hz ? 20kHz
Crossover frequency: 800Hz, 3200Hz

Sub:

Amplifier power (RMS): 250 watts
Peak dynamic power: 550 watts

Now I am looking for the best bang for my buck receiver that will power these, or if you guys have a recommendation for a receiver/speaker/sub package that is good that'd be awesome!

Thanks.

Budget? The Onkyo 503 and 603 are nice receivers in the $250-400 range, less if you get a factory refurb (jr.com carries both). If that's too rich, last time I checked Pioneer had at least one semi-decent receiver for under $250.

Just a FYI
The ebay seller harmanaudio on ebay has some great deals on factory refurb JBL northridge series and they come with new warranties.

They have pretty much the whole Northridge lineup if you're interested.

I don't know if this would be a good deal for you or not. I've ordered from harmanaudio in the past and it went very smoothly.

I guess I'd gauge the receiver off how much you're spending on the speakers.

Again, you can get a pretty nice one for cheap if you go refurb.
Pioneer 515 would be a good one on a very tight budget. It was going for $150 from CC last week.

Panasonic digital receivers have gotten very good reviews for sound quality, especially from digital sources.

Lots of options out there.

Did you get a chance to demo any of this stuff you have planned?
