I'm very into desktops and am fully versed on whats new, whats hot, and whats not but when it comes to portable PCs I've always kind of shunned them for being underpowered.

Well... there comes a time when they come in handy!

I'm looking for something (Windows platform) I can take with me on business trips. Reasonable size, not 21'' but not super tiny either... I'd like to be able to have something that could be used for fullscreen videos or side-by-side documents with ease. Just a little tech reading and desktop know-how tells me I think I would LOVE one of the new SB mobile chips running off the integrated GPU core. That should keep it small, light, and low power right? Doesn't need to have an SSD (have one in my desktop and <3) but the option would be nice. I don't care much about mobile media ie DVD/Blueray... USB sticks are perfectly fine for me! Integrated wireless would be nice too. Oh and something under 1k for sure, but options for less would be great.

Any guidance would be great. Oh and I need it by Apr 11th...

I've done a lot of looking around and have found Dell/Hp/Sony with most of what I want but with compromises, not to mention inflated prices.

Ideally I'd like a 15'' with an i5-2520M or an i7-2630QM with no extra GPU, 2-4GB of RAM, a 7200rpm drive anywhere from 320gb-1tb (price/performance ratios!) and just the basic wireless & bluetooth. No software desired or required other than Windows. This seemingly basic configuration costs around $800 all with compromises from said retailers. Any where I can get just what I want and not pay for the extras? :p

Dell just had a deal on a Inspiron 15r for $600 that met your requirements except not a 7200 rpm drive. That might have added another $50 I would expect.

They always have a sale going on so keep checking.
