Ok, my computer is kinda old, but I am looking for a boost in video performance.

Duron @ 960
384 megs of p150 ram
Abit kt7
Geforce 2mx

I mainly play Battlefield 1942, and I am looking for some increase in speed. I do not want to buy a new computer because I have taken permanent job out in the "sticks", so I will never have broadband again for the rest of my life. THIS IS WAY OUT THERE!

What's your budget? I think you should go for a combo of a faster cpu and a video card rather than splurging everything on just the video card. And isn't BF1942 Online only? It may still be "laggy" due to latency even after you upgrade.

I don't really have a budget. I just want something to boost my framerates, I will probably sell it to a friend in a month or two when I move out into the county. That is why I am really not looking to upgrade the mobo, cpu, ram, ps, and so on.

Well, with that CPU, you could probably get a Radeon 8500/9000 or GF 3/GF4 Ti4200 and play at 800x600x32 with most options at medium (maybe high). After that, I'm thinking your CPU would be the serious bottleneck. Getting the most expensive video card won't do much more good other than give you higher detail levels and AA and different AF options.
