hi my fellow enthusiasts I hope we can cook up some solution here

long story short - I want to send WiFi to my other office ...

it is 540ft away (including vertical gain) BUT I am broadcasting East ... but receiving office is facing South - see map

I could try and send a WiFi ... or maybe some other technology is out there (I wish I could run a cable or so but it's buildings... so go to be wireless I think?)

so that my two PC computers, laptop, tablet and phone could all get internet

I guess one huge router at my end (I have RCN cable - running on modem ARRIS CM820)
and one huge router at other end - that would also broadcast a new WiFi signal at his end for his devices

enough so that youtube at 1080p would work 😛

I could have something protruding out of my window a bit (from AC say 1.5 ft might help) but doubt it would help too much - I would rather plaster it on inside of my window ... safe and sound ... it's in a city... so weather drops down to 20ºF with winds ...

ENVIRONMENT:

I'm on 18th floor ... office is on 7th
office is facing SOUTH - BUT I am/WiFi facing EAST (ideally I would face north - towards the office)

please advise what equipment could I order on amazon.com or newegg.com or so ... as I am ready to order 🙂 - if you can share a set of links to make a package - would make my life easier 🙂

and I will make our best to figure out how to set it up once it gets here ...
I did try to do some homework - but honestly I'm overwhelmed ... not sure what is best ... and my situation South reception vs East broadcast - is special :/

Is this being broadcast straight up into a building? That's the way your map looks. If So AC won't do this as that is a higher frequency at 5 GHz and will just bounce off the ceilings. In which case I would use 2.4 GHz 802.11n.

Edit. You need two of those antennas.

No line of sight, no play. You can't ask wifi signal to make turns.

If you can get direct line of sight (i.e. you can look out your window and see someone standing in the window of the other office), then good directional antennas should work. If not, then nothing you can do is going to work without a HUGE budget, and probably not even then.
