I want to give my friend the Celeron II 633 o/c 1000Mhz. It won't boot. The chip works fine on the Abit BX6_2 with the MSI Slocket. I put in the Celeron II 566@850 and it ran fine on the ZM6. I put back the 633@1000 and it ran fine on the BX6_2. I have flashed the latest BIOS onto the ZM6. Can anyone please help me out as to why this has happened? Both boards have the same BX chipsets.

Thanks for your help.

It may be that the ZM6 only takes PPGA chips and not
FCPGA................Greg

The ZM6 and BM6 can run FC-PGA celeron chips, as long as the chip is stepping CB0. If it's a CC0 then it won't work. Your 633 is probably a CC0 stepping processor.

They moved the reset pin, if you jumper X4 to AH4 the celeron should boot up, to run the P3 cumine's you need to also clip/isolate pin AM2 on the CPU.
