Hey everyone,
I just bought an ATI X800 XT used off of someone in town, and I have a feeling it might be a dud.
The display adapter works fine - I can browse around windows, the web etc. using generic drivers. If I try to install the latest Catalyst drivers, however, it says it doesn't recognize the card I'm using, that spits out a "sever error" about a .INF file. I've read a lot of posts saying you should "really, really" clean out old drivers, which I did to no avail. I wen't so far as to freshly reinstall Windows, but the same error keeps occurring.
So, can something be done? Or have I been screwed? It's BBA, btw.
Thanks,
Ben
