Help: Can't switch profiles in Windows XP

OK, i log-on under my administrator account and everything is fine. When i log off and try to switch to a family member's acoount (no admin privlidges) it freezes at the log-on screen after pressing log-on. I can access this account if i go to it first, after boot-up. And i can even switch FROM hers TO mine. But, again, when switching from mine to hers it freezes everytime. What could it be? A background program? Windows settings? (i.e- I use the classic toolbar with non of that graphics crap for performance, she likes all the XP "flare" " There has to be some sort of incompatibility.
