HELP! Can't seem to find how to disable WMP loading when I click on a Link which is a Movie File!!

I used to be able to click on a link to a file and download it like any other file, now damn WMP starts...how do I disable it I just cannot see the wood for the trees..

Control panel -> Folder options -> file types -> choose the offending file type -> click advanced -> check "confirm open when downloading"
