Hey!
About 3 weeks ago Windows Media Player decided to go on strike...along with every other video player I download...NONE WILL WORK!!!
Everytime I try to play a downloaded video file, or a movie on Windows Media Player I get an error message that says "Cannot play back the file. The format is not supported," when I click on "more info" it says "Windows Media Player doesn't support this file type." The thing is that when I transfer the file to my b/f's computer and try to play it there, it works just fine. I don't know what happened to my comp...nothing will work. I've tried reinstalling already and that didn't do anything either. I've tried using Divx Player, Twins Player, Stamp 3 and Real One....all of them give me error messages. I know that it can't be the file or movie because they used to work perfectly. 🙁

when you say reinstall, do you mean you tried reinstalling windows media player? Sounds like your divx codec was corrupted somehow. did you install divx playa after you reinstalled windows media player or was it already installed?
