I tried both Ntune and RivaTuner (uninstalled one before I tried the other). No matter what I do the overclock does not stick.

Followed the faqs I could find to the letter but no luck. Anyone have any suggestions? So far I've found nothing on google.

i cant believe nobody has replied to this post.

When using Rivatuner 2.08 and you alter the clocks, are you ticking the box just under the sliders that says?

Apply overclocking at windows startup and clicking yes to alternate startup blah blah blah after clicking apply ?

oh and please uninstall Ntune its awful. 🙂

Yes, I have only Riva Tuner installed. I go to the overclock screen, tick the check next to allow driver level overclock, move the sliders up, then tick the box next to start windows with overclock and click apply.

When I restart and go back to the app to check the settings they are back to stock.

Historically this has required a rivatuner update. in fact I believe I've read that rivatuner does not yet support the 9600gt.

As a 9600GT user, I've found expertool works quite well.
