HELP! Cant install new RADEON drivers.

Im trying to install the new radeon drivers but keep getting this error no matter which version i use, unofficial or official, for my RADEON LE 32MB DDR.....

First it pops up and says "SURegCreateKey failed" then when I hit OK it tells me to select VGA Adapter for my driver and try installing again.........but when I do that before windows starts my screen goes blanK!!............then I have to change it again from SAFE MODE.......

I am running windows 98.....installing drivers 9021 from rage3d.......what more do ya want?............

the only time when i get this problems is when i let the setup file install the drivers...........otherwise when i manually install them they work fine....

right now im running version 9021 installed manually.

Its probably just setting the refresh/resolution to something your monitor doesn't support(when it switches from DOS mode to the Windows GUI). Just change the resolution/refresh to something basic like 800x600@60hz in safe mode, then reboot.

errr...install them manually then?

ya...i did install them manually and they work fine now but why would it do that with the setup.exe?

just sorta concerns me...
