HELP!! Can't install HSF, might be missing a piece

Ok, this should be an extremely easy step in the computer building process but I can't do it for some reason. I'm trying to install the stock hsf that came with a retail 1.33ghz t-bird. One side of the clip for it is called non-movable in the manual. The other one is supposed to be movable, and it looks like it has a connector for another piece that would move and attach the hsf, but there is no extra piece there and the thing won't connect. What's going on???

 
nevermind, everything's fine, just needed a little more pressure

good thing i got that thing on, i almost snapped 😱
