Help: Can't get image preview to work

So i recently re-installed XP and cant get image preview to work on double click. Heres what I've done so far:

1. Reinstalled XP SP2
2. Went to windows Update and DL'd all patches, including wmf patch.
3. Re-register shimgvw.dll

doesn't work. I tried unregistering and re-registering the DLL. I deleted the DLL file and restored it from my windows CD in case it got corrupted somehow. I re-checked the registry entry and it's ok. Still doesn't work. 🙁

Anything else I should try?
